PHU NINH LAKE: ENJOY A DAY OF ADVENTURE AND RELAXATION

Planning a trip to Quang Nam and wondering where to spend a perfect day with family and friends? If you love immersing yourself in nature and enjoying outdoor activities, Phu Ninh Lake should be on your itinerary.

What awaits you at Phu Ninh Lake?

Phu Ninh Lake is a renowned ecotourism destination known for its serene ambiance. Nestled between vast forests, it is the second-largest artificial lake in Vietnam. Covering over 23,000 hectares with 32 large and small islands, this place caters to everyone’s preferences, whether you seek picturesque scenery, vibrant activities, or peaceful moments of relaxation.

Located about 7 km west of Tam Ky city, between Nui Thanh and Phu Ninh districts in Quang Nam province, Phu Ninh Lake is also just 15 km from Hoi An, making it convenient for a longer holiday exploring the attractions around this ancient town.

At Phu Ninh Lake, you can spend the entire day indulging in a variety of exciting activities:

  • Relaxation Activities: Enjoy a hot mineral bath with water sourced from 200 meters underground, infused with fragrances like flowers, cinnamon, ginger, and herbs.
  • Island exploration: Discover the unique landscapes of each island.
  • Zipline adventure: Soar across the lake and take in panoramic views from a 750-meter zipline.
  • Water activities: Relax and enjoy the scenery or participate in various water sports such as kayaking, fishing, banana boat rides, jet skiing, boat tours, swimming, and surfing.
  • Camping: Set up camp by the lake, grill BBQ, sing, and mingle with friends amidst scenic surroundings. All necessary amenities are available on-site, so you don’t need to bring your own gear, as services from tents to meals are readily provided.

Travel tips for visiting Phu Ninh Lamk

When visiting Phu Ninh Lake, keep in mind the opening hours. The ecotourism area typically opens from 8 AM to 5 PM daily. If traveling from Hoi An, choose a suitable departure time to avoid the midday heat while still enjoying the afternoon scenery. If departing from Da Nang, it’s about a 70-kilometer journey, taking 1-2 hours depending on the mode of transportation and speed.

Getting to Phú Ninh Lake from Da Nang:

  • By Bus: Take the Tam Ky – Da Nang bus route, get off at 474 Phan Chu Trinh bus station, then take a motorbike taxi or cab to the lake. Rest assured, there are always motorbike and taxi services available around this area.
  • By Car: If renting a self-drive car, head towards Tam Ky city via QL1A. Follow the map’s instructions to reach the lake. For convenience, you can also contact the Phu Ninh Lake tourism service center to arrange a shuttle service from your hotel or resort.
  • By Motorbike: This is the best way to enjoy the roadside scenery. However, make sure to protect yourself from the sun. When renting a motorbike, check the vehicle carefully, adjust the brakes as needed, and ensure your mobile devices are fully charged for navigation.

We sincerely hope that the information above will help enhance your travel experience, add an extra layer of delight to your itinerary, and leave a memorable imprint on your journey.
